Info on the session:
We start with some powerful breathwork. The power of the breath is super strong. It can change the state of the body and the mind. In very little time you can go from feeling stressed and anxious to feeling calm and relaxed.
With the breathwork we will do, you will start to really connect to your body and your breath. We balance out the two hemispheres of the brain and we tap into the parasympathetic nervous system to really get into the body and relax.

During the Yin part, we create space in the body and gently start to open up. Practising surrendering and relaxing into the poses we are in. Being in the here and the now. Coming into a state of deep relaxation and preparing the body and mind for the Yoga Nidra.

Yoga Nidra is translated as Yogic sleep and is a guided relaxation. It’s a very deep relaxation for the body and the mind. It is a relaxation technique that helps us to unite our mind, body and soul. This relaxation practice helps us to awaken positive energy that is already hidden in our inner self. And in this deep relaxation, we sink more into the layers of the subconscious mind where we can set intentions, planting our deepest heart wish like a seed into our subconscious being.
At the same time, it helps us to get refreshed, rejuvenated, relaxed and energetic by getting rid of tension, stress and anxiety.

Info on Yin yoga:
In Yin yoga we mainly take seated, prone and supine postures, which are generally held for 3-5 minutes. While we hold a pose we try to relax completely, letting go of any engagement and letting gravity do the work. As we hold these poses for longer we place stress on our connective tissues making them stronger and healthier. And at the same time, we stretch fascia & muscles and open the body for fluids, energy, breath, etc. to flow through our tissues with more ease.

Benefits of Yin Yoga:
Stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, bringing the practitioner into a deep state of relaxation.
Stimulates the meridians (energy channels) bringing balance to the organs in the body
Improves flexibility and joint mobility
Calms and balances the mind and body
Reduces stress and anxiety
Works deeply on the connective tissues (fascia, tendons and ligaments)
Can prepare the practitioner for meditation practice (like Yoga Nidra)

Benefits of Yoga Nidra:
It helps to reduce stress, improve creativity, create focus and gives a deep rest in few minutes, similar to the rest you get after an overnight sleep.
The practitioner may experience rejuvenation at physical and mental level.
It brings a profound sense of joy and well-being.
They say that during a Yoga Nidra session you can catch up to 3-4 hours of sleep.
Yoga Nidra offers a space to explore what you need in the moment, as well as an opportunity to work on releasing long-held emotions.
Also, you plant a seed into your subconscious mind using positive affirmations.
